| Re-Elect Judge Kissinger ??? Saratoga County Republican Party: You have GOT to be KIDDING. You would STILL put (Honorable?) Judge Keith Kissinger on the ballot, when HE has notified you that he is quitting, when you KNOW that he won't be here to fill his office? This is deceitful, and should be criminal. You would do THIS just so your committee can APPOINT a Judge to an office that is supposed to be elected? I'm a registered Republican, and I'm ASHAMED of your tactics. Not that it matters to Saratoga County, a county that is under the complete control of your party already, but I'm pulling my support, and will register Independant. You have shamed the offices that you hold, and the entire democratic process. Not really a surprise, considering that most of your judges won't even follow your own laws. |

| Tyrants come in more varieties than Baskin-Robbins has flavors. The ultimate protection a free society has against a tyrant, is a judicial system that acts as the last barrier to a tyrant’s will. Therefore, it is immeasurably worse when the tyrant is the judge himself. Our sensibilities are even more offended at a time when our treasure and youth have been spent to remove a far-away tyrant on the simple premise that in the modern world, the velocity of events is such that evil in one place eventually becomes evil touching everyplace. Just as there is no small death, there is no small tyranny.
Respondent acted in tyrannical fashion. His will was the law, and to the degree that his law conflicted with the actual one, he was above the law. The respondent in this case was Douglas C. Mills, a judge of the Saratoga Springs City Court, Saratoga County. This is the Judicial Conduct committee's report: [Read more] The preceeding comment was one of the committee member's dissenting opinion when the rest of the committee voted only for a censure, and that's ALL he got. With that as punishment for his tyranny, it's NO WONDER we have the abuse of our rights by the above mentioned Judges, and others. They have been given NO incentive to change by the very commission that is charged with keeping an eye on them. They should do BETTER than that, they need BOTH eyes open, and they NEED to implement some drastic measures. this system is out of control and the illegal activity by these judges is going unchecked. To the Commission: Ignoring this behavior, condones it, and makes it spread. DO SOMETHING !!! |
